Crown Court Estates is a small enclave of semi-custom homes in the town of Fallbrook in North County San Diego. Close to shops, restaurants, golf courses, nature preserves and art galleries, this family-friendly community is just minutes away from almost anything you might need.

Fallbrook is the kind of town where you can go trail riding with your kids in the morning, meet your friends for wine tasting in the afternoon and attend an art opening in the evening. There is always a festival or craft fair or new art exhibit to explore, and folks here have really taken a liking to their semi-rural way of life with the convenience of city amenities just a short drive away.

If all of this sounds like just what you are looking for, Crown Court Estates is one of the Fallbrook neighborhoods you will want to check out to find a centrally located home base from which to enjoy all that Fallbrook has to offer.

Crown Court Estates History

The Crown Court Estates neighborhood was developed in the late 1990s by local realtor, developer and former pro golfer, Tim Rosa.

Crown Court Estates Housing

With just 10 homes, this is one of the smallest Fallbrook neighborhoods, but this tiny enclave holds its own as a popular option. The semi-custom homes here are on lots that range from .5 to 1.25 acres, and many feature sought-after finishes and amenities, such as paving stone patios, travertine tiles, wood floors, kitchen islands and granny flats.

Finding Crown Court Estates homes for sale is rare, so if you think this might be the right neighborhood for you, keep your eye on the market and connect with a local realtor who can alert you if anything comes up for sale.

Crown Court Estates Restaurants shopping

Crown Court Estates Shopping, Dining & Entertainment

The quaint village atmosphere of downtown Fallbrook is less than 10 minutes away, which means residents of Crown Court Estates are just a short drive from almost anything they might need. This includes your everyday essentials, such as grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, salons and mail centers, as well as restaurants, wine tasting rooms and coffee shops.

Most of what you might need can be found on or just off of South Mission Road, which is home to the three main shopping centers in Fallbrook: Colony Plaza Shopping Center, Fallbrook Towne Centre and Mercantile Shopping Center. These three plazas, and the area around them, is where you will find your nearest dry cleaner, shipping centers, coffee shops, boutiques, healthcare providers and more.

This is also where you will find most of the restaurants in Fallbrook, which includes several fast food chains, Starbucks and lots of local favorites, such as Main Street Café, Firehouse Que & Brew, Pedro’s Tacos, Garden Center Café and Grill, Trupiano’s Italian Bistro, Dominick’s Sandwiches, Fallbrook Coffee Company and Café de Artistes.

This last option (Café de Artistes) is located at the Fallbrook Art Center, which is the central hub for the thriving art scene that earned Fallbrook a spot on John Villani’s list of 100 Best Art Towns in America. For those interested in the arts, Fallbrook has much to offer, including classes at Fallbrook School of the Arts, exhibits and events at Fallbrook Art Center and Brandon Gallery, the Fallbrook Film Festival hosted by the Fallbrook Film Factory, live performances at Mission Theater, and public art installations found throughout the village.

There are also many community events held throughout the year, including seasonal and holiday events, craft fairs and swap meets, car shows, flower shows, art walks and the well-known Fallbrook Avocado Festival.

The easy access to Highway 76 and Interstate 15 also allows Fallbrook residents and visitors to head to Oceanside or Temecula for expanded shopping, dining and entertainment options.

Crown Court Estates Parks & Recreation

All Fallbrook neighborhoods offer easy access to the wide variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation available throughout North County San Diego. The beaches of Oceanside are about 30 minutes away, equestrian centers can be found in every direction, and there are more than 160 hiking, riding and mountain biking trails just in North County.

The Fallbrook Airpark is minutes from the neighborhood, several community parks with playgrounds and picnic areas are just a short drive away, and there are four golf courses within minutes from the homes here.

The closest options for outdoor recreation are actually just down the street. From Crown Court Estates, head south on South Stage Coach Lane for just a few minutes to reach the Fallbrook Riders Field, Dinwiddie Preserve, and Palomares House & Park. Dinwiddie Preserve and Palomares House & Park are two of the 11 nature preserves managed by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, which also maintains nearby Los Jilgueros Preserve, Monserate Mountain Preserve and Hellers Bend Preserve.

Most of the preserves have trails that are accessible to the public, but some close periodically to protect vulnerable habitats, so it is always a good idea to check their website for closures and information while planning your visits. Because Palomares House & Park and Dinwiddie Preserve are so close to the neighborhood, it is worth noting here that Palomares Park is more the type of place you would go to meander through the garden, while Dinwiddie is a 14.5-acre preserve with oak and sycamore groves, meadows, hiking trails and a stream to enjoy in a natural setting.

As for community parks, they are all worth checking out and you are sure to find a couple of faves for play dates and family picnics, but two that should be at the top of your list are Live Oak Park and Fallbrook Community Center and Park.

Live Oak Park has playgrounds, walking trails, picnic areas, sports fields and other park amenities, but it is also where you will find the nearest off-leash dog park, so dog lovers should note this.

Fallbrook Community Center and Park also offers playgrounds, sports courts and picnic areas, as well as a wide variety of events, classes and activities for folks of all ages.

The community center has tennis courts, but true tennis enthusiasts will likely want to join the Fallbrook Tennis Club, which is located on South Mission Road near Los Jilgueros Preserve. Get a day pass to check out the 10 tennis courts, pro shop, tennis lessons, and tennis league and tournament offerings, which will help you decide if you want to become a member to more fully enjoy this private tennis club.

For folks who prefer tee times over tennis tournaments, the four golf courses closest to Crown Court Estates are found at Arrowood Golf Course, Golf Club of America, Pala Mesa Resort and Welk Resort.
