Fairbanks Ranch North County San Diego Guide

Fairbanks Ranch

The affluent North County neighborhood of Fairbanks Ranch is often considered part of Rancho Santa Fe but is a census-designated place made up of two gated communities on approximately 1,240 acres. The 2010 U.S. Census noted a population of 3,148, the majority of whom have bachelor’s degrees or graduate degrees and incomes that are significantly higher than the average income across the county, the state or the country.

It is home to some of the most expensive real estate in the nation, as well as successful entrepreneurs, professional athletes, socialites and celebrities.

Located just minutes from high-end boutiques, pristine beaches, elite equestrian centers, private country clubs and fine dining, this upscale community is an ideal choice for discerning home buyers in search of luxury living in one of the most affluent master-planned communities in North County San Diego.

Housing

Fairbanks Ranch is comprised entirely of two gated communities with custom estate homes. According to Point2Homes.com, the median home sale price is currently $2,092,500; however, the estates I found for sale at the time of this writing have significantly higher listing prices. It appears that homes in this area can sell for as little as less than $2,000,000 or as much as more than $10,000,000, and most sources agree that some of the most expensive real estate in the country can be found in this neighborhood.

One example of a Fairbanks Ranch home for sale at the time of this writing is an elegant, custom, 8,690-square-foot estate with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen and a swimming pool listed at $3,950,000.

Another example of a current listing is an eight bedroom, seven bathroom, 8,500-square-foot estate with four fireplaces, a swimming pool, a wine cellar and a gourmet kitchen listed at $3,495,000.

Community amenities include 24-hour security guards at the two main entry gates, tennis courts, clubhouse, walking trails, riding trails, an equestrian center, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a playground, picnic areas, a lake and an optional membership at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.
