Farmers’ Markets in North County San Diego (2018 Guide)

Farmers Market San Diego North County

Living in North County San Diego means having access to a wide variety of produce grown right here in our own communities. Farm to table isn’t just a trend. Home chefs are looking to get the most from their food. That desire, coupled with the abundance of local farms has created an environment where we have a Farmers’ Market every day of the week throughout the area at various times and locations.

Farmers’ Markets are certified by the County Agricultural Commissioner, ensuring that the produce is being sold by the grower is actually grown in California and meets all California quality standards. So you know that you’re getting the freshest produce. And produce pricing is budget friendly, too!

But produce isn’t the only thing you’ll find at these markets. Many of the markets have booths filled with items you won’t find at your local grocery store. If you happen to show up hungry, you can grab a bite, like a gourmet waffle or a tri-tip sandwich, fresh squeezed lemonade or kettle corn to nosh on as you peruse the market.

You’ll also find fine food items, such as artisan bread and locally sourced honey. And, of course, you’ll come across some unique items like handcrafted jewelry, linens imported from France, wooden bowls and spoons, hand-made soaps, and other one-of-a-kind treasures.
