1. El Camino Country Club (Private)

Membership to this Country Club in Oceanside includes access to the championship golf course designed by William H. 2. Lomas Santa Fe Country Club (Private)

3. Del Mar Country Club (Private)

Membership for the Del Mar Country Club provides access to the 18-hole championship golf course, six tennis courts, a Junior Olympic size swimming pool, fitness center, two restaurants and social events throughout the year.

4. The Grand Golf Club (Private)

This challenging and unforgettable 72-par course is reserved exclusively for resort guests, members and Villa owners of Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

5. Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club (Private)

The only coastal California course designed by Arnold Palmer, Aviara Golf Club features a memorable layout: par 72 over 18 holes and 7,007 yards uniquely sculpted around rolling hillsides, native wildflowers, and plenty of bunker and water challenges.

6. Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club

Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course is an 18 Hole Par 3 Golf Course and Driving Range just minutes away from the Pacific Ocean in sunny Carlsbad, California.

7. Oceanside Golf Course

The club showcases 18 holes of golf, which is open to the public, with special consideration for Oceanside residents. Featuring an all grass driving range, a full service grill for a delicious bite to eat during your round of golf, and a bar to enjoy your favorite beverage.

8. Encinitas Ranch Golf Course

Encinitas Ranch is one of the few golf courses that is located on a magnificent sweep of bluffs that keep the ocean in sight from all over the golf course. There are only a few other courses in San Diego that offer a setting remotely close to the picturesque scene experienced at Encinitas Ranch.

The people’s park of Oceanside, CA since 1952 + Home of the NCJGA. Goat Hill Park (previously Center City Golf Course) recently ranked as the #7 short course in America by the Golf Channel. With ocean views and acres of natural habitat, you can’t beat this place. Course length appx. 4500 yards. One par 5, ten par 4’s, and seven par 3’s.

14. Bernardo Heights Country Club (Private)

Those interested in this friendly facility with a golf course, tennis, swimming and restaurant need to apply. A complimentary tour is available upon request. Memberships are offered in the following categories: Junior Executive, Associate Family, Seasonal, Limited Play, Corporate, and Social memberships.

15. Castle Creek Country Club (Private)

The Castle Creek Country Club offers golf lessons, practice putting greens, group golf tournaments and a snack shack for tasty treats after you work up an appetite on the green. This 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course is PGA approved and provides some exceptional scenery while you play.

16. The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo (Private)

This award-winning, 18-hole course is available to members, although this Country Club offers six different membership levels which offer a unique community within the organization, depending on age and residential status. Memberships for corporate and young professionals are also available.

17. Reidy Creek Golf Course

Reidy Creek is a par-54, 18-hole golf course that is just 2,600 yards in length, which means you can get in a great game even when you are a bit short on time. Set against a mountain backdrop and offering plenty of water features, this popular North County golf course was designed by Cal Olson to make the most of its small size.

18. Eagle Crest Golf Club

Eagle Crest is an 18-hole, par-72, 6,417-yard course that is appropriate for all skill levels and features eight lakes, waterfalls and wildflowers that surround golfers with natural beauty while they play. The club also offers a snack bar, driving range and pro shop.

19. Rancho Santa Fe Country Club (Private)

According to Golf Digest Magazine, the Rancho Santa Fe Country Club is among the top 20 best golf venues in California. Membership in the Club is available only to members of the Rancho Santa Fe Association by virtue of ownership of Covenant property.

20. Boulder Oaks Golf Club

Ranked as one of the best public and semi-private golf courses in San Diego County by the San Diego Business Journal, Boulder Oaks Golf Club is a par-72, 18-hole, 6,550-yard course surrounded by mountain views. Aside from the course, the club also offers a chipping and putting green, driving range, clubhouse and snack bar.

Southern California’s premier golf destination, Maderas Golf club is quietly tucked away amidst the rolling hills of north San Diego, just minutes from downtown. Designed by Johnny Miller and Robert Muir Graves , Maderas offers a unique combination of golf course strategy and design mastery, while taking the concept of upscale golf to exhilarating levels.

22. StoneRidge Country Club (Private)

A StoneRidge Country Club membership gives members access to the 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, 25-meter heated swimming pool and dining facility.

23. Oaks North Golf Course

The friendly atmosphereat Oaks North welcomes all kinds of golfers, including families. This JC Resorts course is seasoned with mature oak trees lining the lush fairways. The greens are always true and many are surrounded with great water features.

24. Vista Valley Country Club (Private)

Along with tennis, golf, dining and fitness, the Vista Valley Country Club boasts a 1,000 wine cellar and private dining area which members can use for private events or wine tastings for up to twenty-five people.

25. Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course

Recently renovated, the 18-Hole San Diego Championship Golf Course at Rancho Bernardo Inn has hosted both PGA and LPGA events and continues to present golfers of all skill levels with a challenging and rewarding day on the course.

26. The Fountains Course and The Oaks Course at Welk Resort San Diego

The Fountains Course is one of two golf courses offered at the Welk Resort and is an 18-hole, par-62, 3,968-yard course that is open daily. It has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in San Diego, and greens fees for the public are not much more than fees for villa owners at the resort.

The Oaks Course is one of two golf courses available at the Welk Resort. This 18-hole, par-54, 1,837-yard course was designed by Jim Brown and is appropriate for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Teeing off at this Welk Resort course is about half the price of the Fountains Course, and free golf clinics for guests and members can help you hone your game.

27. The Vineyard at Escondido

Designed by David Rainville, The Vineyard at Escondido is an 18-hole, par-70 public golf course located right next door to the Orfila Vineyard and Winery. The course meanders through wetlands and has five lakes, making this course as appealing for its scenery as it is for its 6,301 yards of golf.

28. Shadowridge Golf Club (Private)

Located in the rural foothills of San Diego’s floral growing region, Shadowridge Golf Club has the perfect climate for year-round golf. The Club offers scenic views of the golf course from the picture windows of its beautifully decorated clubhouse, an ideal location for weddings and special events.

29. St. Mark Golf Club

St. Mark Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course winding through the coastal foothills of North San Diego County. The Harry Rainville design boasts a links-style experience with stunning backdrops. Its spacious, angular holes feature water hazards and true rolling greens that challenge players of all levels while rewarding the thoughtful golfer.

30. Twin Oaks Golf Course (Semi-Private)

The 18-hole championship course at Twin Oaks is a demanding, but fair test for golfers of all levels. The unique course includes three signature water features and plays adjacent to a protected wildlife habitat, adding to an experience that is both challenging and picturesque. Elevation changes combine with quick, undulating greens to create an exciting course of both open and target-oriented holes. The Garden Room, a private, 2,600-square-foot banquet venue overlooking the course, and 2 Oaks Pub offer a variety of food and beverage options for pre-event and post-event functions.

31. Hodges Golf Learning Center

While this one is not actually a golf course, it is worth mentioning in any article about North County golf. If you are looking for private golf lessons or a great place to practice your short game, Hodges Golf Learning Center has three chipping and pitching greens, two bunkers, and 70 hitting stations with either natural grass or mats. There is also a golf shop on site where you can be fitted with the perfect clubs to help you improve your game.

32. The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe (Private)

33. The Crosby (Private)

The elegant but comfortable Crosby Clubhouse designed by Oz Architects of Scottsdale, Arizona offers broad views of the course and the hills that surround it, while providing the highest level of service and amenities for club members and their guests. The Crosby Sports Center’s Tennis Garden is devoted to the game, with a sunken stadium court, surrounding hard courts and an elegant veranda. Set amid majestic hills and in beautiful weather, Morgan Run Club & Resort is just three miles from DelMar and the Pacific Ocean and half an hour from San Diego. Nestled in scenic rolling hills north of San Diego close to Temecula, the Golf Club of California at Fallbrook boasts a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course and stunning Mediterranean club house.

37. Pauma Valley Country Club (Private)

The golf course at PVCC is a traditional Robert Trent Jones Sr. design. It has a spectacular layout and is surrounded by mountains and avocado and citrus groves. The course has been ranked in the top 100 best courses in the U.S. and top 10 in California by Golf Digest.

38. Woods Valley Golf Club
