To fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing is a luxury most people only experience when on a tropical vacation. Lucky us, we can jaunt down to a hotel within driving distance and spoil ourselves with a little stay-cation experience any time we want. Here’s a list to get your planning hat on for a night away.

L’Auberge Del Mar

Set up on the bluff covering 5 acres of landscaped ground and sandwiched between Del Mar Plaza and Powerhouse Park; this resort has you covered. Beach views, a spa, tennis, fine dining and arguably one of the best patios a sundowner has ever asked for.

This quaint boutique is located so close to the beach you could probably feel the sea spray from your patio.
