Lake Ridge Estates

Lake Ridge Estates is a gated community in the Olive Hill area of Fallbrook in North County San Diego. Residents here enjoy large lots, great views, two small lakes within the neighborhood, and the tranquility of semi-rural living close to shopping, dining, entertainment and schools.

The community is located off of Olive Hill Road, which will deliver commuters to Highway 76 for easy access to employment centers. It is also just west of South Mission Road, which is home to a handful of nearby shops and restaurants and takes you north to downtown Fallbrook.

Lake Ridge Estates is a gated enclave of about two dozen custom, single-family homes located on Lake Ridge Road and Lake Ridge Circle. There are two small lakes in the community, and homeowners here enjoy views of orchards on either side of the neighborhood, the surrounding rolling hills and Palomar Mountain. Lot sizes range from about one acre to about four acres, some properties here are zoned for horses and there is a homeowners association with CC&Rs and monthly dues. Architectural styles vary, most homes have swimming pools, and some have higher-end amenities and finishes.

  • A three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,849-square-foot home on 1.09 acres listed at $799,000
  • A five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 4,220-square-foot home on one acre listed at $1,049,000

Lake Ridge Estates is just a short drive from South Mission Road, which is where you will begin to find many of the shopping and dining options offered in Fallbrook. For a dinner out close to home, head to Casa Estrella, which is just minutes away and is a popular spot for Mexican food and margaritas. A bit farther north on South Mission Road, you can search for treasures at Second Chances Barn or unique gifts at Button & Burlap.

Stay north on South Mission Road to head into town where you will find everything you need to check off of your to-do list, including grocery stores, banks, gas stations, pharmacies, salons and healthcare providers. If you are running errands, you will likely find most of what you need in one of Fallbrook’s shopping centers, including Fallbrook Town Center, Mercantile Shopping Center and Colony Plaza Shopping Center. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants found along South Mission Road and throughout the area around downtown Fallbrook.

To give you an idea of the range of eateries you will find close to home, some of the many offerings include Garden Center Café and Grill, Pedro’s Tacos, Robertito’s Mexican Food, Main Street Café, Trupiano’s Italian Bistro, Denny’s, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Firehouse Que & Brew and Dominick’s Sandwiches. There is also the tasting room at the Fallbrook Brewing Company, wine tasting rooms and the eclectic Café de Artistes where you can admire local art while enjoying their historic soda fountain or menu of sweet treats.

Speaking of art, did you know that Fallbrook was named to John Villani’s list of 100 Best Art Towns in America? Art is not usually the first thing that comes to mind when describing this area, but Fallbrook actually has a recognized, thriving art scene that includes public art installations, galleries, Mission Theater, Fallbrook Film Factory, Pops on the Green, classes and programs at Fallbrook School of Arts, and events and exhibits throughout the year at the Fallbrook Art Center.

Fallbrook is quite well known for its community events as well, including the famous Fallbrook Avocado Festival. Some of the other events you should check out while in Fallbrook include Fallbrook Scarecrow Days, Fallbrook Christmas Parade, Holiday in the Village, Wine and a Bite Holiday Art Walk, the annual flower show, movies in the park and the car shows that draw folks from across the state.

Lake Ridge Estates is in a good location for those in search of semi-rural living that allows for easy access to local parks and options for outdoor recreations. The neighborhood is located southwest of downtown Fallbrook and the surrounding area, which is where you will find Ingold Sports Park, Fallbrook Airpark (a private airport), Dinwiddie Preserve, Los Jilgueros Preserve, Fallbrook Community Center and Park, and a handful of other community parks.

Even closer to home, residents can enjoy Hellers Bend Preserve, which is southeast of Lake Ridge Estates and one of the 11 nature preserves managed by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy. Some of these preserves are open to the public and offer trails for hiking, riding and biking. Additional trails can be found in the Santa Margarita River Trail System, Cleveland National Forest and the Palomar Mountain area. Avid hikers willing to drive a bit further can enjoy more than 160 trails and paths found throughout North County San Diego.

For folks who prefer a manicured green to a rugged hiking trail, there are many country clubs and golf courses across North County and the Temecula area. Some of the options closest to Lake Ridge Estates are Golf Club of California, Pala Mesa Resort, Arrowood Golf Course, Vista Valley Country Club, Welk Resort and Castle Creek Country Club.

North County is well known as a haven for horse lovers, so folks living in Lake Ridge Estates will have no problem finding a nearby equestrian center for boarding or training.

Public school students living Lake Ridge Estates attend schools within the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District and the Fallbrook Union High School. Most students begin at Fallbrook Street Elementary School, and then attend James E. Potter Junior High School and Fallbrook High School. For students who are better served by a different educational setting, there are also the Fallbrook Homeschool Academy and Ivy Continuation School.

Fallbrook is also home to many private schools, including A Step in Time Preschool, Fallbrook Montessori, Peppertree Montessori, Montessori Adolescent Academy, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, Spirit Mountain School, New Covenant Christian Academy, Rock Rose School for Creative Learning, St. Stephen Lutheran School and Alpha & Omega Academy.

Adult learners looking to continue their education close to home may consider looking into Palomar College’s Fallbrook campus, MiraCosta College, San Diego Miramar College, Saddleback College, San Joaquin Valley College, California State University San Marcos, National University, Soka University of America or John Paul the Great Catholic University.

Lake Ridge Estates Boundaries

Homes in Lake Ridge Estates are located on Lake Ridge Road and Lake Ridge Circle. This upscale, gated community is west of Olive Hill Road, north of Burma Road/Olive Hill Road, south of Futurity Lane and east of Cazador Lane in the Olive Hill area of Fallbrook. Sections of Camp Pendleton are to the north and west of the neighborhood.
