One of the things we’re asked quite a bit is how to save money on LEGOLAND tickets. Like many popular theme parks, the answer varies based on factors such as season, special promotions and other variables like this.
So, we’re going to share what we know and then ask you, our YNC readers, to chime in with other tips and tricks.

Residents or those who live near enough to visit more than twice typically benefit from annual passes to LEGOLAND. You can buy annual passes to LEGOLAND, a park hopper annual pass subject to blackout dates or an unrestricted park hopper annual pass. Monthly payment plans are available, too.
Local Costco stores often (but not always) carry discounted LEGOLAND park hopper tickets so it is worth calling a few stores to see if they are available. There is a Costco on Palomar Airport Road right next to the park. Discounted tickets are often available on costco.com and you do not have to be a member to purchase online. Right now, there is an offer for 3-month ticket for less than the price of a 1-day park hopper pass.
LEGOLAND California partners with area hotels to offer bundled packages to save on tickets and room rates. While the LEGOLAND Hotel is awesome for kids, other nearby Carlsbad hotels offer shuttle service to the park and other perks. The Sheraton even has a private entrance to the park.
Go San Diego Card
People visiting San Diego who plan to visit a number of major attractions in one trip should consider a Go San Diego Card. A few different types of passes exist but basically, you could save up to 55% on admission versus paying at the gate. The most important thing to do is analyze which attractions you’ll really visit on a San Diego vacation to determine if this pass will result in significant savings.
Verify your military status in advance to receive savings of up to 30% off of park tickets. Go online and fill out the form.
AAA members can receive a 10% discount on 1-day LEGOLAND tickets.
If you are a LEGO Club member and receive LEGO Magazine, a coupon for free kids admission with a paid adult is often inside.
