The community is adjacent to the San Diego Polo Club, which is located next to the Del Mar Horse Park. This 65-acre equestrian facility is open Tuesday through Sunday and is home to boarding and training stables, show and practice arenas, a dressage arena and two jumping stadiums. Other equestrian centers in the area include Ridgemar, Jasmin Stair Stables, Seabreeze Farms, Cherokee Training Stables, Rancho El Camino, Fairbanks Riding Club and South Coast Training Stables.

The nearest country club to the community is Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, which wraps around the Polo Club neighborhood to the south and east. Golf at this club includes three walkable, nine-hole courses — Valley, Lakes and Ocean — designed for all skill levels to enjoy. Tennis at the club includes five lighted tennis courts and both social and competitive tennis programs. The club also offers fitness classes, social activities, and a food and wine program.

Morgan Run Club & Resort, which is just northeast of the neighborhood, offers a 27-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, a fitness center, a resort-style swimming pool, casual and fine dining, social activities and a spa.

Other country clubs in the area include Del Mar Country Club, Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, The Santaluz Club and The Farms Golf Club.

If you prefer hiking or riding trails with beautiful views and picnic areas, some of the outdoor recreation areas you will want to check out in this area include San Elijo Lagoon, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, Black Mountain Open Space Park, Del Mar Mesa Preserve, Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, Lake Hodges, Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve and Del Dios Highlands Preserve.

There are also several community parks within a short drive, including San Dieguito Canyon Park, Crest Canyon Park, Solana Highlands Park, Carmel Mission Park, Overlook Park, Torrey Highlands Park, Carmel Valley Skatepark and North Bluff Preserve.

San Dieguito Canyon Park is a 125-acre community space offering picnic areas and pavilions, barbecue grills, playgrounds, a basketball court, exercise stations, trails and Miracle Field, which is an accessible baseball field.

Crest Canyon Park is part of San Dieguito River Park and offers two trails and the chance to see local flora and fauna.

The Whispering Palms neighborhood and Morgan Run Club & Resort are to the northeast, and Via De La Valle runs along the northern border of the community.

Polo Club homes are accessed from Via De La Valle and are located on Polo Point and on Caminito Porta Delgada, Caminito San Sebastian, Caminito Tecera and Caminito Barbuda in the gated Fairbanks Polo Club community.
