Stallion Hills is an upscale community in the Olive Hill area of Fallbrook in North County San Diego. Homes here are on large lots that are zoned for horses and enjoy views of the surrounding area. Stallion Hills, which is also locally referred to as White Horse Ranch (after White Horse Ranch Lane that runs through the community), is ideally located for residents to enjoy semi-rural living within a short drive from schools, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, wineries and parks.
Located just off Olive Hill Road, Stallion Hills is in a good location for commuters who need access to Highway 76 and is close to South Mission Road, which is where you will find the nearest shops and restaurants. South Mission Road is also the route you will take to reach the nearby downtown area of Fallbrook and all that is has to offer.
Stallion Hills Housing
Stallion Hills is a small community of custom, single-family homes on one or more acres zoned for horses. Residents here enjoy views, nearby riding trails, varying architectural styles, and mid- to high-end finishes in each upscale home.

Stallion Hills Shopping, Dining & Entertainment
The shopping and dining options closest to Stallion Hills are found on South Mission Road and include Casa Estrella restaurant, Button & Burlap gift shop and Second Chances Barn. If you head south on South Mission Road, you will reach Highway 76 and Bonsall, which is home to a movie theater, shops, restaurants, salons and professional services at River Village Plaza. If you head north on South Mission Road, a short drive will deliver you to downtown Fallbrook.
This is where you are going to find just about anything you might need when running errands, such as pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores, gift shops, banks and services, which are found throughout the downtown area and in shopping centers like Mercantile Shopping Center, Fallbrook Town Center and Colony Plaza Shopping Center. This is also where you will find local healthcare providers, salons and some of the wide variety of restaurants offered throughout Fallbrook, such as Main Street Café, Café de Artistes, Fallbrook Coffee Company, Garden Center Café and Grill, Robertito’s Mexican Food, Pedro’s Tacos, Denny’s, Firehouse Que & Brew, Trupiano’s Italian Bistro, Dominick’s Sandwiches and Chipotle Mexican Grill. There are also wine tasting rooms and the Fallbrook Brewing Company craft beer tasting room.
Some folks who have yet to visit Fallbrook have the idea that this is largely an equestrian area where folks enjoy country living surrounding the downtown area’s small-town charm. While this is true, it sometimes comes as a surprise to these folks that Fallbrook has a thriving art community and has even been named on John Villani’s list of 100 Best Art Towns in America.
The art scene here includes the exhibits and events offered by Fallbrook Art Center, public art installations, an art in the park program for students, Pops on the Green, Fallbrook Brandon Gallery, Fallbrook Film Factory, Mission Theater, and community programming and classes through the Fallbrook School of the Arts. Fallbrook Arts, Inc. and Fallbrook Art Association, Inc. are two local groups dedicated solely to supporting the arts in and around Fallbrook, and Fallbrook Arts, Inc. is the parent organization for most of the above-mentioned community programming.
Aside from the many art-related events you will see in Fallbrook throughout the year, other community events include the well-known Fallbrook Avocado Festival, Holiday in the Village, Fallbrook Christmas Parade, Fallbrook Scarecrow Days, movies in the park, Fallbrook Holiday Tree Lighting, Stagecoach Sunday, Reins Country Hoedown, and the Fallbrook Garden Club Tour.
Stallion Hills Parks & Recreation
Some of the homes in Stallion Estates has swimming pools or horse facilities, which means outdoor recreation can begin close to home. There are plenty of riding trails in the area, Fallbrook Riders Field is just a short drive away, boarding and training stables are close at hand, and, like most of North County San Diego, equestrians will find this area to be perfectly tailored to fit their lifestyle.
If your time on the trails is not always on horseback, you might also want to check out one of the nature preserves managed by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy. A few of the closest options are Hellers Bend Preserve, Dinwiddie Preserve and Los Jilgueros Preserve, but there is nearly a dozen from which to choose, as well as several miles of the Santa Margarita River Trail System that are also managed by the conservancy. Be sure to visit the Fallbrook Land Conservancy website before heading to one of the preserves, since some of them are not open to the public and some are periodically closed, in whole or in part, to protect vulnerable habitats. Miles of additional hiking, riding or mountain biking trails can be found across North County, including in nearby Cleveland National Forest and Palomar Mountain State Park.
If you prefer a picnic in the park or community sports leagues, you will likely be spending some time at one of Fallbrook’s community parks, including Ingold Sports Park, Live Oak Park, Ball Park, Don Dussault County Park, Clemmens Lane Park, and the Fallbrook Community Center and Park. At the community center, you will also find a variety of programming options, including sports, activities and classes for youth, teens, adults and seniors.
Those more inclined to spend their weekends playing tennis or golf will find plenty of golf courses and country clubs throughout North County and Temecula. Some of the nearest to Stallion Hills include Golf Club of California, Arrowood Golf Course, Pala Mesa Resort, Welk Resort, Castle Creek Country Club and Vista Valley Country Club.
And, if you happen to be a pilot, the private airport, Fallbrook Airpark, is just minutes from the neighborhood.
Stallion Hills Schools
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District and Fallbrook Union High School District serve the Olive Hill area of Fallbrook. Most public school students living here attend Fallbrook Street Elementary School, James E. Potter Junior High School and Fallbrook High School. Other options include Fallbrook Homeschool Academy and Ivy Continuation School.
Private school options in Fallbrook include Rock Rose School for Creative Learning, Alpha & Omega Academy, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, New Covenant Christian Academy, Montessori Adolescent Academy, A Step in Time Preschool, Peppertree Montessori, Fallbrook Montessori, Spirit Mountain School and St. Stephen Lutheran School.
For those looking to continue their education locally, nearby colleges and universities include Palomar College’s Fallbrook campus, San Diego Miramar College, MiraCosta College, San Joaquin Valley College, Saddleback College, National University, John Paul the Great Catholic University, Soka University of America and California State University San Marcos.
Stallion Hills Boundaries
Stallion Hills (White Horse Ranch) is located west of and adjacent to Olive Hill Road, north of Burma Road/Olive Hill Road, and south and southeast of Camp Pendleton. Homes here are primarily located on White Horse Lane, Futurity Lane and Preakness Court. If you are familiar with Fallbrook, it may be helpful to note that this neighborhood is just west of the Olive Hill Greenhouses. Lake Ridge Estates is directly to the south.
