Go with Tsingtao for a taste of China, however, local brews from Karl Strauss, Green Flash and more are also available. If beer isn’t your thing, they also have an Wine Spectator award-winning wine list that boasts some of the best pricing in San Diego.

2. Japan: Shimbashi Izakaya

Shochu is a clear distilled spirit that delivers the perfect foundation for an inspired craft cocktail. Selections from the restaurant’s multi-faceted menu can be recommended for sake pairing by one of the restaurant’s experts.

3. Mexico: El Agave

With advice from the tequila sommelier, taste from the largest collection of tequilas in the region at El Agave on the third floor. The restaurant’s Tequila Museum is composed of more than 1,000 premium tequilas and agave-based spirits from around the world including El Agave’s own award-winning, signature tequila “Tequila Agave Artesanal.” Pair the tequilas with traditional Mexican cuisine inspired by the cooking styles of the Aztecs, Mestizos and other ancient cultures.

4. International: Pacifica Del Mar

Pull a chair up to the haute Ocean Bar inside Pacifica Del Mar, across the pathway from El Agave. The bar serves nightly happy hour specials and fresh ocean-to-table cuisine, but it’s possible for guests to travel the world without leaving their seats. The International Vodka Bar continuously expands its unrivaled collection of more than 200 of the world’s most finely crafted vodkas, showcasing vodkas from more than 20 countries including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Russia, Sweden and France.

5. Italy: Il Fornaio
